- [People Insight] Eunsong Oh: “Creating Intelligent Eyes for Industrial Sites with AI.”
- “Our goal at Deep In Sight is not simply to build cameras that capture video. It is to realize ‘intelligent cameras’ that can independently analyze situations on-site and make immediate decisions.”Eunsong Oh, CEO of Deep In Sight, emphasized that the company’s ultimate objective is to create “intelligent eyes” capable of solving challenges in industrial environments where high reliability and precision are essential.Deep In Sight is a Vision AI solutions company that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) technology directly into camera hardware. Through its “on-device AI cameras,” which perform video capture, analysis, and decision-making within a single device, the company is advancing the intelligence of industrial “eyes.” Starting with mobility safety, Deep In Sight is expanding its applications into robotics, digital twins, and medical devices.CEO Oh majored in astronomy and astrophysics and earned a degree in optics. She later conducted research on satellite cameras at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology. During the development of the “Chollian-2” satellite, she was dispatched to Airbus in France, where she gained experience in a global corporate environment. The key differentiator of Deep In Sight’s AI cameras is their on-device architecture, in which AI directly analyzes and makes decisions within the camera itself. Without relying on external servers or cloud infrastructure, the system enables immediate on-site decision-making. This minimizes latency and ensures stable operation regardless of network conditions.“We optimized and lightweighted complex AI algorithms for specific purposes so that on-site decision-making is possible without external servers,” Oh explained. “We are particularly focused on specialized industrial sectors that demand high reliability and precision.”Currently, Deep In Sight is concentrating on the mobility sector, particularly Driver Monitoring System (DMS) solutions, as its core business. The company has secured mass production references by supplying AI cameras to global automotive manufacturers. Real-time driver state recognition technology is considered a high-growth area amid tightening safety regulations.Technologies accumulated in mobility are being extended to digital twins, robotics, and medical devices. AI-powered 3D cameras can perceive spaces three-dimensionally and convert them into digital information that robots can understand. Applications are expanding not only to construction and architecture sites but also to entertainment, gaming, and public sectors such as cultural heritage management. In the medical device field, Deep In Sight is supplying precision AI camera solutions that go beyond simple diagnostics to assist physicians during surgical procedures. Globally, the company is expanding its business primarily in Japan and the Middle East, where demand for digital transformation (DX) is high. The core of its strategy is Proof of Concept (PoC).“We are building trust through projects that can be immediately validated on-site,” Oh said. “Our strategy is to achieve results through PoC and then expand step by step.”Deep In Sight’s mid- to long-term goal is to further advance its AI camera technology and evolve into a global R&D-driven company providing customized solutions for various industries.“The perspective that once observed the universe through telescopes and the Earth through satellites is now directed toward the safety and convenience of our daily lives,” Oh emphasized. “Deep In Sight’s AI cameras will become intelligent eyes that deeply understand the world and assist humanity.”

- AI Defines a New Mobility Era: The Evolution of In-Cabin AI at Arm Unlocked Seoul 2025
- The meaning of the driver’s seat is changing. The spread of autonomous driving and Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) is transforming cars from simple means of transportation into intelligent computing spaces. Vehicles are now evolving into AI-based platforms that interpret drivers’ and passengers’ biometric and behavioral data in real time and respond accordingly. At the center of this change is AI computing. The competition among CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs has moved beyond performance superiority to focus on how efficiently artificial intelligence can operate inside the vehicle. An event that symbolically demonstrated this transformation was “Arm Unlocked Seoul 2025,” held for the first time by Arm in Seoul on October 21. This AI-centered technology conference brought together major global companies from the semiconductor, software, and mobility industries to discuss innovation through the convergence of AI and SoC (System-on-Chip), presenting a new concept: the AI-Defined Vehicle.Among the fields that drew the most attention was In-Cabin AI. The vehicle interior has become a new stage for AI, capable of enhancing both safety and user experience by utilizing multidimensional data such as driver fatigue, gaze patterns, and emotional state.Amid this trend, Korea’s DEEP IN SIGHT, representing the nation’s in-cabin AI technology, was invited to participate in the event. DEEP IN SIGHT presented its vision and real-world applications of On-Device AI-based In-Cabin Monitoring Technology, which expands the vehicle interior into an intelligent space that understands and reacts to its occupants.DEEP IN SIGHT’s in-cabin monitoring system “CAMOSYS” adopts an architecture that performs AI computation directly inside the camera, without relying on the cloud. This allows it to recognize and respond in real time to the states of drivers and passengers—detecting conditions such as drowsiness, fatigue, inattentive driving, and seatbelt use. Its lightweight AI architecture also enhances compatibility with existing SoC platforms, enabling broader integration. In August, DEEP IN SIGHT also participated in the “Arm Partners Meeting” held in Cambridge, U.K., where it introduced its in-cabin AI solutions and engaged in technical exchange with the global semiconductor and software industries.Eun-Song Oh, CEO of DEEP IN SIGHT, said, “AI is no longer an auxiliary technology—it has become the core element that defines the very identity of vehicles. Through collaboration with the global semiconductor ecosystem, the in-cabin space will evolve into an intelligent environment that understands and responds to people.”The Arm Unlocked Seoul 2025 event was more than a technology showcase—it was a venue that highlighted the direction of vehicle innovation and ecosystem evolution driven by AI computing. Companies like DEEP IN SIGHT are continuing to collaborate on key challenges such as AI compute optimization, intelligent data processing, and in-vehicle software integration, accelerating the arrival of a human-centered AI mobility era.
